Yacht Charter Cancellation Policy
Halkidiki sailing follows the yacht charter cancellation policy below. It’s a good idea to read it so you know exactly what applies.
In order to cancel a cruise and get a refund of percentage or the total value of the fare, the following should apply:
A deposit of 30-50% is required to confirm each booking.
The charter must be paid in full, before boarding the passengers.
For Daily Cruises
It should be declared up to 24 hours before the fixed time of the charter and,
– There must be serious health reasons, which must be accompanied by a doctor or hospital certificate (refund of 50% of the deposit).
– The wind must be more than 7 Beaufort at sea, on the day and time of the charter (This applies to one-day cruises*). However, this is based on the announcements of Local Port Authorities (50-100% refund of the money). The rate depends on when the charter was booked. If the reservation is made 48 hours or more in advance, then 100% of the deposit will be refunded. In any other case only 50% refund applies.
In case of rain, without being accompanied by winds more than 7 Beaufort, the charter cannot be cancelled. (Based on the data of Local Port Authorities).
If cancellation is declared less than 24 hours before the scheduled time of the cruise, then no refund is given and the charter must be paid 100% of its value.
For multi-day cruises
- If you cancel 28 days before scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
- For cancellations between 28 – 7 days of scheduled departure, there is a 50% cancellation fee (of the deposit).
- Cancellations within 7 days of scheduled departure incur a 100% cancellation fee (of the deposit).
*Multi-day cruises cannot be canceled due to weather conditions.
